Stats, in Antalya the ninth international final in the last nine yellow-blue years

In a month and a half it will again be time for Trentino Volley to play an International Final, the sixteenth ever in its twenty-four years of activity. Since 2015, the appointment with a match that awards a title outside Italian borders has become even more frequent; the one on May 5 in Antalya (Turkey) will in fact be the ninth Final in as many years.
The sequence starts from 2015 (CEV Cup, lost in the golden set to Dinamo Moscow), then continues with 2016 (Champions League, lost in the tie break to Zenit Kazan in Krakow), 2017 (CEV Cup, lost in the golden set to Tours), 2018 (Club World Cup, won 3-1 over Lube in Czestochowa), 2019 (CEV Cup, won against Galatasaray), 2021 (CEV Champions League Final, lost 1-3 to Kedzierzy-Kozle), 2022 (Champions League, lost 0-3 to Kedzierzyn-Kozle, and Club World Cup, lost 1-3 to Perugia). Only in 2020, the year in which all competitions were halted due to the pandemic, and 2023 did the Yellow and Blue Club in fact not take part in any Finals.
Overall, Trentino Volley has won nine of the fifteen international finals played, also taking into account three Champions League victories (2009, 2010, 2011) and four other rainbow titles (2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012). The statistics tell how the Via Trener club has played a total of 219 matches in the international arena, winning 176 of them (106 away) and losing just 43, of which only twelve were played between home walls. An enviable roster, which on May 5 in Turkey Podrascanin and his teammates will try to further improve to win the 21st overall title in the Gialloblù's history.
