2025/26 SuperLega schedule announced: season opener in Cisterna (October 19)

The official schedule for the 81st edition of the SuperLega Credem Banca Serie A1 Championship (2025/26 season) has been released today. For the first time in league history, the format will be asymmetrical, meaning the order of matches in the first and second halves of the regular season will differ.
Italian Champions Itas Trentino will begin their title defense on the road in Cisterna, just as in the past two seasons. The home debut is scheduled for Sunday, October 26 at the BTS Arena against Padova. Fans won't have to wait long for the first major clash: in Round 3, Trentino will face Civitanova Marche in a rematch of the 2025 Scudetto Final. More top matchups will follow: Verona in Round 4, Perugia in Round 7, and Piacenza at the halfway point (Round 11).
Unlike in previous seasons, the 2025/26 fixture list is asymmetrical, featuring 22 unique rounds. The match sequence in the first leg is entirely different from the return leg. In fact, Trentino will close out the regular season once again against Cisterna.

Key dates: the regular season will span four and a half months, from October 19 to February 25, and will include five midweek rounds, in addition to the traditional Boxing Day fixture on Friday, December 26 in Monza:
- October 29 (Round 3, at Civitanova)
- November 19 (Round 6, at Cuneo)
- December 3 (Round 9, home vs. Modena)
- January 14 (Round 16, home vs. Civitanova)
- February 25 (Round 22, home vs. Cisterna)

The 2025 Italian Supercup, which for the tenth time will feature the Final Four format, will be played on Saturday, November 8 and Sunday, November 9 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Itas Trentino will again be one of the four participants, taking on Sir Safety Perugia in the semifinal.
The 2026 Italian Cup will follow the traditional format, as in the previous season, involving only the top eight teams at the end of the first leg (which concludes on December 14). Quarterfinals will be single-leg matches, hosted by the higher-seeded teams on Tuesday, December 30. The Final Four is scheduled for Saturday, February 7 and Sunday, February 8, with the venue still to be announced.
The top eight teams at the end of the regular season will qualify for the Scudetto Playoffs. Quarterfinals, semifinals, and the championship final will all be best-of-five series. Dates and detailed formats will be announced at a later time.
