2025 Del Monte Supercup in Dammam, Saudi Arabia on 7th-8th November

A press conference for the next edition of the Del Monte® Super Cup was held this morning, Tuesday, July 29, 2025, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In addition to the leaders of the Lega Pallavolo Serie A, Ali Mohammed Alamri, representing Saudi Crown, and Abdullh Alkholify, representing the Saudi Arabian Volleyball Federation, were also present.
The agreement for the 2025 Del Monte® Super Cup has been formalized. It will be held outside of Italy for the first time, in the Saudi city of Dammam, a leading oil-producing region in the world, on Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8, 2025.
Massimo Righi (President of Lega Serie A): “During this short visit to Saudi Arabia, we were received by the Italian Embassy and the Saudi Arabian Volleyball Federation. We spent a lot of time with representatives of the Saudi Crown project, and last but not least, we formally signed the agreement for the Del Monte® Supercoppa 2025: we couldn’t have asked for anything better. We’ve been trying to export one of our events abroad for a long time, as we firmly believe that the SuperLega is ready for a further leap in quality. We’re proud to have achieved this; the Del Monte® Supercoppa will be the first official event of an Italian team sport played abroad, excluding football, of course. And it should be a source of great pride for us and for our movement: we have a responsibility to increase the visibility of our championship globally and to represent Italian volleyball in strategic international contexts as well. We’re aware of the difficulties this type of choice may pose for some fans, but I ask them to make an effort and to understand that Italian volleyball will certainly benefit from the new visibility and opportunities created by these events.new markets".
