Trentino Volley has arrived in Greece shortly before 3.00 pm local time (Italian 2.00 pm), after having completed the journey started already Sunday evening  - after the success on the field of CMC Romagna - which covered the routes Forlì-Bergamo (by bus) and by plane Bergamo-Thessaloniki, where on Wednesday, November 18th (at 6.00 pm, broadcasted live on Sky Sports Plus, Radio Dolomiti and on www.laola1.tv) will play the match on the second day of Pool C 2016 DenizBank CEV Volleyball Champions League against the hosts of Paok.
Overlooking the Thermaic Gulf in the north of the country, Thessaloniki is a thriving industrial, economic and cultural center and a focal point for the transports in South East Europe and for its harbor; the city has welcomed the Italian champions with an almost summer climate (21° maximum, 9° of minimum). Diatec Trentino will stay there until Thursday morning but on Tuesday night will begin to train at the Paok Sports Palace thanks to the usual technical-tactical session on the eve for about an hour and a half. In the evening today instead Lanza and teammates will support an hour of physical training in the weight room under the guidance of coach Martin Poeder; also the Slovenian spiker Tine Urnaut is part of the group, and in these days he will work in different ways to start earning a physical condition that will allow him to return to play as soon as possible.
Oleg Antonov is once again taking Urnaut place on the field, who played a decisive shift at the service scoring 3-0 during the match of Sunday evening in Forlì: "It will be a very special commitment” - explained the new hammer of Trentino Volley -”the Paok Thessaloniki will debut at home in this event just against us and will definitely do it in the best way. Besides Greek audience is always very hot so we must prepare to live a definitely difficult match. It will be critical the approach; in the last two matches against Piacenza and Romagna we managed it and we want to do the same also in this occasion, continuing to demonstrate that growth of the game and of the team that during these first weeks of the season has always distinguished us”.
What has started this morning is the second trip ever in Greece for the Company of Via Trener in eleven seasons of international business; previously the Yellow-blues had already visited Athens in early December of 2009 by winning 3-2 against Olympiacos in a  Champions League commitment. In total Trentino Volley has already faced forty European away games (of which only thirty-six in the Champions League), winning in thirty-six circumstances. The match on the shores of the Aegean Sea will be the number 112 international in the Yellow-blues history (balance: 93 victories, 18 defeats).
