On the 21st of February SuperLega UnipolSai 2017/18 is back in field to play the 24° turn of regular season, the eleventh of the second round, which will end on Thursday with the postponed match Sora-Castellana Grotte. On this occasion Diatec Trentino will be playing at the PalaTrento against Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia for the last but one home match of the championship. The match will start at 8.30 p.m.: live coverage on Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on Lega Volley Channel: www.elevensports.it/superlega.
Here Diatec Trentino the yellow-blues will play the last two home match of regular season within four days and their aim is obtaining as many points as possible in order to safeguard the fourth place in the classification. Angelo Lorenzetti presented the first home match of the week (the second one will be on Sunday against Sora) and he said that the match against Vibo is very thorny probably because the team could be tired after the tour de force of the last two weeks in which they had to face many matches with the same seven regular players. Moreover he said that they must be very concentrated and especially humble because these type of matches requires determination and integrity of the actions one wants to carry out.
Today Diatec Trentino started again the trainings for this match and will train also on Wednesday morning; on these occasion the technical staff will be able to check the conditions of the right shoulder of Hoag (which forced him to miss the last two matches) and understand if he will be able to play. All the other players will be available. On Wednesday Diatec Trentino will play the 748^ overall official match in its history, the 342^ of ever at the PalaTrento and will try to achieve the 269^ victory in front of its audience.
The opponents Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia does not have the possibility to access to the Play Off anymore (they managed to access last year instead) but they will face the final phase of their regular season as it was an opportunity to prepare their attendance to the Play Off for the 5th place that will be played at the same time of those which assign the championship from the 11th of March. Having thirteen points and the twelfth place in the classification, Vibo is sure to play the octo-finals of the second board, which will be to the best of the three matches. This time Vibo will have another trainer (in the bleachers there is Fronckowiak instead of Tubertini), moreover the former player is now in Turkey plying with the Ziraat Bankasi Ankara team and he has been substituted with the Brazilian Felix Jr who hasn’t found much place in field since the baseline diagonal of the fourth place remains Massari and Lecat. The Polish opposite Domagala is unlikely to play as regular player often alternated with the American Patch. The other four players are irremovable: the middle-blockers couple Deivid Costa-Verhees (fourth blocker of the tournament), the setter Coscione and the LIbero Marra.in the second round Tonno Callipo Calabria conquered only four points but one of these is very recent, they obtained it at the PalaPanini (defeated at the tie break on the 11th of February).
The precedents Trentino Volley and Callipo Sport Vibo Valentia are have a long challenge tradition which started thirteen years ago (3rd of October 2004) with the first official encounter in regular season (away victory for the yellow-blues). The balance of 28 precedents, including five matches of the Playoff and two of the Coppa Italia, is in favour of the yellow-blues for 23-5. Moreover Trento won the last eight matches played; the last success of Vibo Valentia goes back to the home match played on the 11th of December 2016. The last direct comparison dates the 10th of December 2017 in the first round, won by Diatec Trentino: 20-25, 25-22, 25-27, 27-25, 12-15 and Hoag mpv (16 points). At the PalaTrento in thirteen precedents, Vibo has won only once (for 3-1 the 7th of October 2012); and more recently (2ndof October 2016) Trento won for 3-0.
The referees The match will be directed by Massimo Floria (from Treviso, in Serie A since 2007) and Andrea Pozzato (from Bolzano, official referee from 2004). This is the fourth match in which the two referees are together in SuperLega UnipolSai 2017/2018, the thirteenth personal for Floria (who in this season has already directed Trento-Monza 3-0 in Coppa Italia on the 18th of October and Piacenza-Trento 0-3 on the 26th of November) and the fourteenth for Pozzato who has already umpired Diatec Trentino in this regular season when the team was defeated at the PalaTrento at the tie breakagainst Milano in ther first turn (15th of October).
Radio, Internet and Tv The match will be commented with a live coverage by Radio Dolimiti, official network partner of Trentino Volley for the ninth year in a row; the broadcasts with the PalaTrento will be made inside of “Campioni di Sport” from 8.25 p.m. The frequencies to listen to the regional network are available on the home page www.trentinovolley.it, whereas on the site www.radiodolomiti.com will be also possible to listen to the live streaming and coverage.

The match will be on delay on tv on RTTR, tv partner of the Club of via Trener at 10 p.m. of Friday 23rd of February, immediately after the magazine “RTTR Volley”.

The cash desks at the PalaTrento will be open from 7.30 p.m. and at the same time the doors of the PalaTrento will be opened. The cash desks will remain open until the end of the second set, from that moment will no longer be possible to go inside the PalaTrento to watch the rest of the match.
Inside, behind the north long stand, the fans will find the official point of sale of the yellow-blues; there are many items of Trentino Volley on sale. On this occasion at the PalaTrento the “Dorigoni Day” will be celebrated; in order to celebrate together with its audience the long-standing partnership, Diatec Trentino and Dorigoni will prepare a number of initiatives in which the official supplier will be the main character in the Match Program, in Area Hospitality and on the PalaTrento’s leds which for this occasion will be characterized by Dorigoni’s logo. The mpv prize will be branded Dorigoni, the mpv of the match will be chosen by the journalists in the press box.
