Djuric and Solé blocked Petric during the tie break set

Trento, November 22nd, 2015
The best Diatec Trentino of this first part of the season throws on the field the heart beyond the technique and tactic, offering another great satisfaction to four thousand spectators at PalaTrento: the first setback of the season for DHL Modena, which costs the Emilian the first place in the standings (now the prerogative of Civitanova), leads in fact, as already happened last season, the signature of Stoytchev’s team. The remake of the challenge that has assigned all the Italian titles in the 2015 calendar, has therefore awarded the champions of Italy, able to pack in over two hours of play, a very important 3-2 in comeback both for the economy of the ranking of the tricolor (always at the third place, two points off the top) and for the moral of the team of Stoytchev.
With an increasingly sharp service (8 aces, only four of the mvp Antonov) and a constantly growing block, the hosts were able to change gears at the worst time of their match, or rather when the DHL has moved to lead 1-2 after losing the first set. Once again, the Italian-Russian spiker (14 points) wasn’t the only one to reverse the trend, but also the reality of Djuric in attack (best scorer with 24 points and 53%), the coldness of Lanza in the important moments and the good contribution of Daniele Mazzone, as usual good at exploiting the opportunity and be ready from the second set and on, at the center of the net instead of Van de Voorde. After three sets of high-level at the net, Modena has instead fallen in attack, block and joke and service and ended match on the edge, leaving space to the blaze of PalaTrento.
