With the match that will be played on Sunday evening at the PalaTrento, in the quarter final series against Verona, Trentino Volley will take part in the Play Off Scudetto for the 16th time in 18th seasons of activity. In the fifteen precedent occasions Diate Trentino succeed in passing the first turn ten times: in the season 2005/2006, the team defeated Modena for 2-1, in the season 2007/2008 the team defeated Modena for 2-0, in the season2008/2009 the team overtook Vibo in three matches (3-0), in the season 2009/2010 the team defeated Verona in three matches (3-0), in the season 2010/2011 the team defeated San Giustino (3-0), in the season 2011-2012 the team won the three matches at the PalaTrento during Easter against Roma and San Giustino (double 3-0), in the season 2012-2013, the team defeated Vibo Valetia in two matches (three for the series that started from 1-0), in the season 2014-2015 the team defeated Molfetta for 2-0, in the season 2015-2016 the team defeated Molfetta in five matches (3-2) and in the last season the team overtook Monza in two matches. In all other cases, the eliminations have already arrived during the first turn (in the quarterfinals): against Modena (2002/03 in five matches and 2013/14 in two matches), Perugia (2003/04 in four matches, after winning the regular season), Piacenza (2004/05 in five matches) and Cuneo (2006/07 in three matches). In this edition Trentino Volley could try to achieve the ninth final of its last eleven participations. If we don’t consider the unlucky presence of 2013/14 season, Trentino Volley has always won at least one match; twelve times out of fifteen in the first played match: this happened against Perugia (3-2 in 2004), in Piacenza (3-1 in 2005), in Cuneo (3-2 in 2007), at PalaTrento against Modena (3-0 in 2008), Vibo (3-2 in 2009), Verona (3-0 in 2010), San Giustino (3-0 in 2011 and 2012), Molfetta (3-0 in 2015 and 2016) and Monza (3-0).
