Diatec Trentino achieves a victory in the Play Off Scudetto UnipolSai 2018

Uros Kovacevic was the best scorer with 25 points

Diatec Trentino inaugurates the Play Off Scudetto UnipolSai 2018 with an important victory, overtaking Verona at the tie break of the game 1 of the quarterfinals. Even if the yellow-blues had difficulties tonight at the PalaTrento, they hang on the field influence which went off during the season in the last to Adige derbies. The 17th victory in championship came at the end of a match in which the yellow-blue players showed a great mental endurance (15-13) after the opponents recover a deficit of two points.
Calzedonia Verona didn’t make it easy especially after the first two discouraging sets and since they were very near to the away success. This success is absolutely important for Lorenzetti’s team because it offers two possibilities for the semi-final. Even if the team played in a very foul way they managed to stay focused during the important moments such as the last point of the first and the last sets. The 3-2 after almost two hours and a half was achieved especially thanks to the five Kozamernik’s blocks (including the one on Manavi that made Trentino win), the 25 points of Kovacevic (58% in the net area) and then the mvp Vettori.
