Lorenzetti lines up the same formation of Sunday at the PalaTrento: Giannelli as setter, Vettori in the opposite role, Lanza and Kovacevic as spikers, Eder and Kozamernik as middle-blockers and De Pandis in the libero role. Calzedonia Verona formation is Spirito as setter, Stern as opposite, Jaeschke and Maar as spikers, Mengozzi and Pajenk as middle-blockers, Pesaresi as libero. The game starts in a spectacular way because the two formations constantly alternate (1-3, 7-5, 7-9),working in a very good way in the break point phase. Lanza and Eder’s aces force Gbric to call the first discretionary time (14-12, 15-12). In the upswing Verona take advantage of two mistakes of the opponents to recover (17-16). Trento answers with an ace of Vettori for the 21-19 and after the final rush started by the ace of Vettori the team are even (22-22, Stern’s attack). The home team reach the 22-24 thanks to Jaschke and closes at 23-25. Diatec Trentino tries to react at the beginning of the second set  (5-3 thanks to Kovacevic) but Verona with Pajenk arrives to the 8-10. Lorenzetti lines up Teppan instead of Vettori who has to go out because of an ankle problem. Thanks to Lanza Trento reach the +3 (15-13) and then the +4 (17-13) with Kozamernik at serves. Also this time Verona reaches them (19-19). before finding a heavy partial of 6-2, guided by Lanza and Eder, that allows Calzedonia Verona to block the result of the set on the 25-21. The neck-and-neck match starts again; Diatec Trentino tries to accelerate (6-4) but Calzedonia retrieves its determination and takes the lead (7-10). Lorenzetti’s team begins to weaver but then it recovers reaching the 13-13 thanks also to five rivals’ mistakes in a row. The point-to-point match continues up to 20-20 then with Teppan the hosts reach the +3 (23-20) and defend with the Estonian opposite and Kovacevic taking the lead (25-23).
Verona with its back to the wall tries to fight reaching the 5-7 but Trento doesn’t give up and thanks to Lanza and Kovacevic it reaches the tie (10-10). The neck-and-neck match goes on during the fourth set up to the 16-16 then Pajenk’s action is a hit (16-18) and Verona, especially thanks to Stern’s attacks and blocks, protects its position up to 20-22. Diatec Trentino, with Kozamernik’s service and Eder’s block (on Pajenk) reaches the tie (23-23) but in the final part it wastes the opportunity to end the match allowing the rivals to score the last points to gain the 2-2. During the tie break Calzedonia does its best to end the match and the yellow-blues do everything they can do to climb back up but they run into several mistakes that allow Verona to win and continue to fight in the last match of the league (13-15).
