Sir Safety Conad-Diatec Trentino 3-1, the match report

Filippo Lanza blocked Alexandar Atanasijevic (ph. Trabalza))
Here the chronicle of match 1. The two starting six showed nothing new compared to what they said the day before: Lorenzetti lines up the following diagonals: Giannelli-Vettori, Lanza-Kovacevic, Eder-Kozamernik, Chiappa libero; Bernardi on the other hand anwers with De Cecco as setter, Atanasijevic as opposite hitter, Zaytsev and Barger as spikers, Podrascanin and Alzani as middle blockers and Colaci as libero. The starting of the match is in favor of the home team, thanks to Podrascanin (a block, attack and ace) they reach the 2-5 forcing the yellow-blues to ask for a time out. After that Trento starts playing better and with Kozamernik under the net, but also thanks to the mistakes in attack, they reach the 10-10, and then also take the lead thanks to Vettori (13-11, 16-14). Perugia doesn't give up and recovers thanks to Podrascanin and then De Cecco who makes the team reach the 16-17 thanks to a great service. But the end of the first set is only decided after another good service of Atanasijevic (20-22), with Sir Safety Conad defending the break until the end (23-25, Vettori's mistakes during service). Diatec Trentino doesn't get discouraged and goes back on the field even more pumped for the second set, going faster and faster (5-2, 7-4, 12-7) with its very efficient attackers (most of all Kovacevic). Bernardi asks for a time-out but after that Trento keeps on ruling the match, even during its maximum advantage (+7, 16-9), even though the coach from Umbria alternates many players. But that doesn't make Trentino Volley lose their rhythm, they indeed soon reach the 1-1, showing off Lanza and a couple of middle blockers: 25-28 and now they're even.
In the third set the Sir Safety Conad tries to react, shooting well from the starting blocks with a revived Atanasijevic (4-6); in this case the time out requested by Lorenzetti doesn’t help to reverse the trend, with the Umbrians still lengthening (6-11), working very well between the wall and the defense. Perugia is rampant when Atanasijevic also enters the game permanently pushing his maximum advantage (10-16, 13-19). In the most difficult moment, the yellow-blues return to believe it, taking advantage of the service of Eder and Kovacevic and capitalizing the reconstructions with Lanza for 20-22. The Diatec Trentino arrives at least one (22-23), before yielding under the pipe of Berger (23-25).
Trento starts again in the fourth set with still Teppan in the sextet (as happened in the final of the previous partial), running away already on 6-3, when Bernardi immediately calls a time out. At the beginning, however, the Umbrians with Berger on the shields are reported below already on 13-13, taking advantage of the smudging of the yellow-blue game in the attack phase. The second half of the set is fought point by point (15-15, 20-20) with the two teams alternating at the command of the score, before Perugia takes advantage of the Trentino errors to close on 22-25 and 1-3.
