Play Off Scudetto 2018, a very sweet Easter for Diatec Trentino!

Diatec Trentino found in the Easter egg what they were hoping for since the beginning of the season. After five defeats in as many direct matches, the yellow-blues finally defeated Sir Safety Conad Perugia tonight at BLM Group Arena, so winning the second match of the semifinal Play Off Scudetto UnipolSai with a daring 3-2.

This comeback success confirms the negative tradition of the team from Umbria in the building of Via Fersina playing matches of Play Off and most of all it offers to Angelo Lorenzetti's team the tie point. Next Saturday they will start again from the 1-1 in Perugia, but Lanza and his team already know for sure that they will play at least one more match in their home field in front of their fans (match 4 od Sunday April 15th).

Once again, as always in the hostory of this match, the home field had a fundamental role; after winning in an incredible way the first set (which they were losing 20-24 but then won 26-24), the home team was losing 1-2, after a great comeback of Sir Safety Conad. But in the hardest moment a spark shone again; with the support of 3500 fans in the BLM Group Arena Diatec Trentino played once again with a very efficient technique showing off a great volleyball match during the fourth set, in which they did their best during the sprint and close the match at tie break (15-10).

The great protagonists of this comeback were the opposite hitter Vettori (mvp and best scorer with 20 points and 56%), the spiker Kovacevic (the one with most continuity in his team) and a reborn Lanza; their change of course made Perugia falter, making them lose in spite of the best numbers in every fundamental.
