A tie-break season (15): only in 2008/2009 the yellow-blues played as many as this year

After the day off that the technical staff allowed them, Diatec Trentino will start again their training on Friday morning in order to get prepared for match 4 of the series of Semifinal Play Off Scudetto UnipolSai 2018, which will be played on Sunday April 15th at BLM Group Arena starting from 6:00 pm against Sir Safety Conad Perugia (pre sale of the tickets is still active, also on internet at this link).
The yellow blues really need to win, no matter the score, so as not to finish their season 2017/2018 right now; it's been a year in which many matches ended at the tie-break, as happened on Wednesday night against Civitanova in Champions League.
No matter the final result, the eighteenth year of Trentino Volley will go down in history as the year in which the team ended most matches after the 5th set: fifteen in total, seven of which has been won while they were defeated in eight occasions.
Only in the season 2008/2009 (the one in which they won their first Champions League), the yellow blues played as many tie-breaks as this year, but out of a total of 51 official matches (29,4% of the total). The average of the current season is even higher (32,6%), considering that so far they played 46 matches. In detail, the team played 7 tie-breaks in the home field (victories against Latina, Modena, Verona and Perugia; defeats against Milano, Kedzierzyn-Kozle and Civitanova) and eight during away matches (they won in Vibo, Busto Arsizio, Modena; they lost in Kedzierzyn-Kozle, Monza, Chaumont, Verona and Perugia).
