Kovacevic: “Amusing and remarkable: let me tell you my first season in Trento”

After seven intense months, almost always characterized by three matches for each week, the time has come to catch up with Uros Kovacevic. Just in these hours the Trentino Volley spiker is returning to Serbia for a period of vacation, but first he wanted to retrace his debut season wearing the yellow-blue jersey during an interesting interview with Trentino Volley Tv. "It was a really amusing year - the southpaw from Kraljevo smiled, who will be twenty-five on May 6th - ; we started with some difficulties, going through a difficult moment in the first month of the championship, but we immediately reacted and probably thanks to this spirit we managed to become a very close group, which has been able to live well everyday in the gym. It is precisely for this reason that I believe that the team has done something extraordinary: it has managed to confirm where they forecast after the market in 2017 despite the initial difficulties accused. Even my season was similar to that of Diatec Trentino, because in the first part I suffered from physical problems, which then I managed to resolve even thanks to the interest of General Manager Bruno Da Re who made me visit some doctors specialists. However, there is still the disappointment of having stopped in the 5th match of the Semifinal Play Off Scudetto, but we really gave everything we had. To be able to bring a team like Perugia to the play-off, who had always beaten us clearly, I think it can be a source of pride and a clear demonstration of our growth. I am convinced that the Trentino public has also enjoyed, accepting our moments of discontinuity and enjoying even more the last important victories obtained at the BLM Group Arena".
“I still don't know how many days off I will have - said Kovacevic – I have to have a confrontation with the technical staff of my National team, but I hope I'm going to have some time to relax and recover. It's been a long season with no breaks; there are many important appointments on schedule that will take place during this summer, as the Volleyball Nations League and the World Cup. I want to get there knowing I can give everything and that's why I need my body to recover and relax during some week”.
