SuperLega, Siena has been promoted from A2: it will be the 15th participant in 2018/2019

Tonight the season 2017/2018 of Lega Pallavolo Serie A lived its last moment when the much awaited decree has been announced. The fifteenth team who has the right to sign up to the next SuperLega UnipolSai (the one of season 2018/2019) is Emma Villas Siena, which, after having won 3-1 the match 3 of the Final Play Off Promotion to Serie A1 today at PalaEstra against Monini Spoleto, gained the access to the most important championship of Italy.
For the club from Tuscany is the absolute first time in SuperLega, while the city of Sienna is coming back in Serie A after 41 years. Also two players which in the past wore the jersey of Trentino Volley are now celebrating: the opposite Kay Van Dijk and the spiker Michele Fedrizzi.
SuperLega UnipolSai 2018/2019 will be settled like this (while waiting for the ratification of Lega Pallavolo Serie A):
