Another player of the youth sector arrives in the first team: Lorenzo Codarin

From almost a decade the roster of the first team of Trentino Volley welcomes at least one player of the yellow-blue Youth Sector. The tradition is going to be honoured event during 2018/19 season indeed, the middle blocker Lorenzo Codarin will uphold it: after having grown with Trentino Volley and played the last three seasons in Serie A2 with Potenza and Brescia, from August on, he will start to play in SuperLega with the t-shirt of Diatec Trentino.
Codarin, the 21 years old player who was born in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, is going to come back to Trento where he arrived in 2011; in the last two season in Serie A2 he has distinguished himself in particular for its exceptional blocks, scoring 149 points and ending the season gaining the fifth absolute place in the performance ranking dedicated to this fundamental. He’ll try to follow the path of Simone Giannelli and Oreste Cavuto, with whom he played during his journey in the Youth sector winning six Italian titles in Under 16, Under 17, Under 19 and Junior League.
“Codarin belongs to that group of yellow-blues players who, between 2012 and 2015, won everything in the Youth Sector and he reaches today in first team two of his former teammates such as Giannelli and Cavuto –said president Diego Mosna – . The fact that this technical heritage hasn’t been lost is a reason of pride for our Club. Lorenzo will have the opportunity to grow more after three positive seasons in A2 Series dealing with two players who have the same role such as Lisinac and Candellaro and trying to exploit Lorenzetti’s directions, an authentic teacher for the daily work with young people. This will be an important season for him but also for us”.
“Coming to the first team it’s an honour and a dream for me, I have had this dream since when I entered the Young team of Trentino Volley in summer of 2011 – said Lorenzo Codarin – . I found in the first team both Giannelli and Cavuto, with whom I once played, and this is amazing and important because they can help me to enter this new world. I must improve a lot, but I have already met Lorenzetti during the period of post-champion activities and I know that he will give me the right advice to grow, especially as regards the attack. I am  very happy to start this experience and I really like Angelo’s methods”.
