Nicola Daldello sets during the last season with Revivre Milano Jersey
Experience and inspiration in order to have Giannelli’s back: Trentino Volley was looking for these characteristics in the second setter for the next season and had Nicola Daldello sign for the team.
The one-year deal was signed today between the Club and the 35yo setter from Treviso, filling up a crucial position in the roster with an experienced and talented player who knows perfectly the Italian league. Raised in Sisley Treviso’s juniores team, he won three junior national leagues and started from the B2 league his career; he then played eight seasons in the top league with Perugia, Pineto, Sora, Città di Castello, Monza and Milano last season. Everywhere he played he turned out to be a useful player and played a key role in the teams, with an excellent setting technique, a deciding serve and team man. Having played with Blue City back in 2006/07 in B1 series, along with his brother Matteo, he’s already acquainted with the city and Trentino volleyball.
“In the last two seasons we paired Giannelli with young players, this time we went in a different direction and chose to put expertise first - revealed coach Angelo Lorenzetti - . Daldello doesn’t lack practice nor temper and proved to be uniting man both on court and backstage”.
“I am happy to catch up with a player I watched grow up in Treviso - added General Manager Bruno Da Re - . He’s a dedicated player who exponentially improved throughout his career and will help Giannelli to rest whenever the need comes”.
Daldello signed a one year deal and will regularly join the team in the preseason in the mid of August. He will wear jersey number 6.
