On Friday in Luxembourg the drawn of the 32nd finals of 2019 CEV CUP

On Friday June 29th in Luxembourg the first official act of the 2019 CEV Cup will be celebrated, the second most important European competition, to which Trentino Volley has regularly registered in recent weeks thanks to the fourth place achieved in the regular season of SuperLega UnipolSai 2017/18. In the late morning will be drawn the pairings of thirty-second of the final CEV scoreboard that, unlike the Champions League, does not provide group stage but only double rounds (round-trip) knockout. Thanks to the excellent position of Italy in the European ranking (to which it has contributed in an important way thanks to the podium placements obtained in the same CEV Cup 2017 and in the last edition of the CEV Champions League), Trentino Volley should be among the seeded and therefore at least initially enjoy a simpler route; only the formalization of the pairings will determine if it will actually be so and if the team of Lorenzetti will enter the game already in the 32nd or the 16th finals.
Twentyfour teams already signed up, and fourteen more will do so, which were eliminated during the preliminary phase of 2019 CEV Champions League, that is taking place in September and October.
Among the most famous names of Kemerovo there are the French players of Tourcoing and Ajaccio, the Polish team of Olsztyn, the Turkish athletes of Galatasaray, the Greeks of Olympiacos, the Germans of Haching, but also the Finnish of Loimaa (already challenged in the previous participation).
As already said, other teams could join after the preliminary rounds of Champions Legaue. Now the involved nations are twenty; France, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Switzerland are the only countries which are sure to present two teams at least at the tournament that last season  has been won by the Russian team of Belgorod.
2019 CEV Cup is taking place from November 7th 2018 (day of the first match of the thirtyseconds of finals) to March 26th 2019 (day of the second match of the final). In order to pass every single round it will be necessary to score the highest number of points during the two matches; the points will be assigned in the same way of the championship: 3 for every victory 3-0 or 3-1, 2 for every victory at tie-break, 1 for a defeat in tie-break (golden set to 15 if the points are equal).
For the society of Via Trener the participation in 2019 CEV Cup will be the thirteenth experience in an European competition, the fourth in this tournament which they already played in the season 2004/05 (eliminated at the octofinals defeated by Ankara), 20114/15 (second position at the final, after Dinamo Mosca- who won at the golden set) and in 2016/17 (second position ater Tours Vb -who won at golden set). Trentino Volley won 90 matches out of 114 in CEV manifestations and lost 14 ones.
