Gold medal at the XVIII Mediterranean Games in Tarragona for Oreste Cavuto

Oreste Cavuto with Gold Medal
Oreste Cavuto and Italy B finished the XVIII Mediterranean Games in Terragona 2018 in the best possible way. In the men volleyball tournament the best teams fought and challenged each other, just like in the Olympics, and today the young spiker raised by Trentino Volley lead his team to an outstanding gold medal, replicating the successes of Mersin 2013 and Pescara 2009.
The team coached by Gianluca Graziosi won after defeating by 3-1 (25-22, 25-17, 33-35, 25-23) the home team Spain and closed a triumphal streak of five victories in five matches, with only one set lost in the whole competition (today, against Spain).
True contributor of the victory was Oreste Cavuto: the young talent played as starting six in every match, scoring 8 points in the final and 44 overall.
Cavuto, originally from Lanciano, arrived in Trento when he was only fourteen years old and this gold medal will add to his palmares along with the 2015 Under 23 World Championship Bronze medal.
