On Sunday the third turn of SuperLega Credem Banca 2018/2019 in Perugia

During this weekend the third regular season match of SuperLega Credem Banca 2018/19 will be played. On Sunday 28th October at Pala Barton in Perugia Itas Trentino will face Sir Safety Conad again; it seems to be the more interesting match considering that they are two of the three teams who still have a full score (the other one is Civitanova Marche). In Perugia the match will start at 6 p.m.; live on RAI Sport + Radio Dolomiti.
HERE ITAS TRENTINO Trentino Volley plays the first seasonal big match knowing that they had won two out of two matches; this leads the team to be
at the top end of the table and now the players have more confidence thanks to their performances during the matches against Siena and Sora.
This match will be able to show the real potential of the Angelo Lorenzetti’s lineup, which could outdo the local team three weeks ago, during the semifinal of Supercoppa 2018.
“We will play this match calmly also thanks to what we did during the first two championship days, but not only that - declares the coach Angelo Lorenzetti, introducing the match - ; the mood in the gym is good and the training is making us grow. Of course, our victory of the last 6th October doesn’t have an “absolute value” because it arrived in a different time of the season but it is a memory that we want to remember. The match on Sunday will be a different one, considering that the opponents are very strong; especially the Sir Safety Conad’s incisiveness of the service can ease the working between block and defence, and in general, the break point phase. Being able to respond to their strokes will be helpful and it is very important to have the right attitude.”
The complete team will arrive in Perugia; the 1 players of the roster have trained regularly this week, doing also the last training session (1 hour and a half) today.
At Pala Barton Trentino Volley will play its official match number 768 of its history, the 459° of regular season; until now the team has won 141 out of 228 away games. It will be an important day for Aaron Russell, who will play in front of spectators that have supported him for three seasons and that, in occasion of the match of 6th October, applauded him a lot.
THE OPPONENTS After the contrasting weekend of Supercoppa 2018 (at the beginning of October), Sir Safety Conad Perugia has finally found the right way to be among the main teams that aim at the championship victory. The double 3-0, result of both the match vs Latina and the one vs Verona has showed how Lorenzo Bernardi’s team is rapidly getting used to the new game asset and also how Leon, the star player from Cuba, has already become an important reference point for the game, which is set out by De Cecco. With already 33 points, the spiker, who was taken during the summer by Kazan, is the best player of his new team in the championship, followed by the oppositor Atanasijevic. Not to forget then also our former players: the very last one is the attacker Filippo Lanza (300 matches with TrentinoVolley, also in the Young team), then we have the libero Colaci (who currently results to be recordman of attendances together with Birarelli with a number of 345 competed matches), the spiker Dore Della Lunga and the central Galassi.
PREVIOUS MATCHES Trentino Volley and Sir Volley Perugia have competed against each other already thirty times, eight of which just during last year, where they have played in the recent semifinal of Supercoppa, but also in the same stage of the scoreboard of Coppa Italia and Play Off Scudetto. The total result is in favour of Trentino Volley with 17-13, even though Trento that has won only three of the last eight previous matches of 2018. Thanks to the 3-0 of three weeks ago at the Pala Barton (sets of 25-22, 25-21, 26-24), Lorenzetti’s team has put an end to the negative period that in Perugia was lasting from the 26th of October 2014 (day of the last victory, 3-2, mostly thanks to Kaziyski) and from eight consecutive matches. The last success of the hosting team also consisted in three sets and took place in Perugia: 19th of April, match 5 of the semifinal Play Off Scudetto.
REFEREES The match will be directed by Roberto Boris (from Vigevano - Pavia, in Serie A since 1997 and international from 2010) and Stefano Cesare (from Rome, in Serie A since 1999 and international from 2010). The last time that Roberto Boris directed a match with Trentino Volley was against Perugia (1st April, victory 3-2 in semifinal Play Off Scudetto), while Stefano Cesare directed Verona-Trento on 17th March (second turn of the quarterfinal).
TV, RADIO AND INTERNET Perugia-Trento will be a media global event and will be transmitted live on every media. It will be indeed on Rai Sport + HD, a channel which is available both on the digital terrestrial platform (number 57 in HD, 58 in sd) and on the satellite one on Sky at the number 227, with the live commentary by Maurizio Colantoni and Andrea Lucchetta; the match scenes will be also in Internet streaming video-audio clicking on the address www.raisport.rai.it.
