SuperLega, Itas Trentino wins 3-1 in Padua: now the World Club Cup and the 2nd place

Itas Trentino keeps following the positive tradition in Padua and the match of the first part of SuperLega Credem Banca 2018/2019 ends with a victory (the fourth consecutive one in the championship) with the final score 3-1, conquered at the Kioene Arena in Padua, where Itas Trentino has already won 9 official consecutive matches.
Now the World Club Cup, which begins on Monday evening in Rzeszow (Poland), and the roster of Trentino Volley will arrive there having achieved the second place in the ranking thanks to the 3 points gained tonight during the ninth match of SuperLega.
The today’s match has not been easy: Itas Trentino has been able to confirm their positive tradition agains the rival team, so now they have won 19 consecutive direct matches thanks to their determined, constantly growing performance. The start of the match was not positive for Itas Trentino but then they were able to perform a come back during the third set, when they were losing 1-7 and later also 20-23. In this circumstance the Kovacevic’s performance was essential (mvp of the match with 17 points, 3 blocks, 2 aces and 46% in the net area), Lisinac’s (13 with 67%, 2 blocks and an ace) but also Russell’s (best scorer with 18 points, good at block and stroke) and the Nelli’s ex turn.
Nelli, who already played during the first set instead of Vettori, had a good performance in attack (10 positive with 45%), at block (3) and service (2 aces), and it has been essential for the comeback that has taken place in the second set.
