This is the 17th cup in the history of Trentino Volley, the 8th international one

After three years and six months, Trentino Volley positions another cup in its own prestigious showcase. The World Club Cup (conquered tonight in Poland) closes this period of “calm” that had started on 13th May 2015 (when Diatec Trentino had won its fourth championship in Modena), and now Trentino Volley shows 17 cups.
World Champions for the fifth time; in such occasion the team had always been able to succeed once in Final: the first one on 8th November 2009 in Doha, thanks to the victory 3-0 against Belchatow, when Trentino Volley had showed to know the Golden Formula, a rule that allowed players to attack from the second line the first action of side-out.
After having set aside this particular game strategy, Trentino Volley has still turned out to be stronger than everyone also in the „normal“ volleyball achieving, between 2010 and 2012, nothing but a sequence of successes against increasingly brilliant opponents such as Belchatow (defeated in the final also on the 21th December 2018), Jastrzebski (3-1 on the 14th October 2011) and, as last, Sada Cruzeiro (3-0 on the 19th October 2013) – society behind Itas Trentino in the honour roll of the 2013 edition, becoming the first not italian team to win the trophy. Also in two of the three successive participations (2013 and 2016) Trento remained on the podium, ranking in the third place, whereas the one of 2014 ended for the first time in the round phase. This is the seventeenth gold medal of always, approximately ten years away from the first absolute victory and that further completes a list of successes where only CEV Cup (which Trentino Volley is competing for) is missing and would be needed to boast then a victory in every manifestation which our club took part in: 5 World Club Cups, 4 championships, 3 Champions Leagues, 3 Coppe Italia and 2 Supercoppe Italiane.
