Itas Trentino takes part in the Final 4 of Coppa Italia for the 10th consecutive season

Itas Trentino has made it to the Final Four of Coppa Italia for the tenth consecutive season, twelve seasons in total. Its participation to the match on 9th-10th February at the UnipolArena of Bologna was confirmed by the victory against Calzedonia Verona during the Derby dell’Adige, it will be the 41st edition of the most important Italian trophy. itas Trentino will face the winner between Civitanova and Monza, who will challenge each other on Thursday at 8.30 pm in the region of Marche. Itas Trentino has already moved on after the home defeat of last Sunday against Cucine Lube, it has focused on its goal: making it to the first four teams in the competition, as it has always managed since 2010. This 3-0 win was built particularly during the first set, it gave honour to the glorious past of Trentino Volley, when Grbic, Solé, Birarelli, De Pandis and Kaziyski were part of the team, this was their first time in Trento as opponents. It took Itas Trentino the first half of the opening set to diffuse the tension. After an initial disadvantage (2-5), Itas Trentino slowly started to play well, showing its efficiency, the same that was displayed also in the previous twenty-two matches, the protagonists were Russell (mvp with 17 points, 54% attack efficiency and 2 aces) and Lisinac (12 points with three blocks, one ace and 73% attack efficiency). Still a good performance for Kovacevic (11 points) and for Giannelli (1 block, 100% efficiency and two aces). Itas Trentino service was encomiable, effective nine times with just seven mistakes (best seasonal performance).
