2019 CEV Cup, Trentino Itas wins again in Switzerland: match vs Amriswil closed 3-0

For the second time this season Switzerland is land of victory for Trentino Itas. After Losanna on November 21st, the World Champion tonight beat Lindaren Amriswil, undefeated leader of the Swiss league, closing in three sets the first match of the 2019 CEV Cup quarter finals.
The clear result allows Yellow-blues to close in on the european competition’s semifinals; in order to qualify, Trentino Volley now only needs to win two sets in the home match scheduled on February 13th at the BLM Group Arena. With a very sharp serve (11 aces with 13 mistakes) and high balls well managed by Giannelli (Russell 82%, Van Garderen 64%, Vettori 47%) Yellow-blues could easily impone their ruling; even when Amriswil started off 0-6 in the beginning of the third set and seemed to dream big, Trento only had to go back to practical, easy and effective playing to set things right where they belonged. Best scorer of the match was Aaron Russell, with 17 points scored and two aces, with Lisinac (3 blocks and 3 aces) and Giannelli (4 blocks) also showing off.
