Trentino Itas in semifinal 2019 Cev Cup!

For the fourth time in 5 seasons Trentino Volley takes part in the semifinal of an European match, on this occasion in 2019 CEV Cup. After the victory of World Club Cup 2018 in December, Itas Trentino confirms once again its European level throwing the Swisses of the team Amriswil out of the quarter finals of the tournament, so that they do not have access to the second-last turn of the scoreboard: this place will go instead in the hands of the winner of the match between Burgas (Bulgaria) and Olympiacos (Greece); the return match will be on Thursday night in Athens, after the 3-1 of the going match.
Two weeks away from the success in Switzerland, Lorenzetti’s team has shown to be ahead of Lindaren Volley also at BLM Group Arena scoring another 3-0; all this despite the fact that at Lorenzetti’s disposal there were not three excellent players, namely Lisinac (who was left in the bench because of some problems to the left calf), Giannelli and Kovacevic, who just watched the match from the bench. Yet, with their substitutes there have been no regrets at all, since they have shown to be very prepared: especially Codarin (awarded as mvp with 7 points, 71% during the first set and two blocks) and Daldello have shown to be able to fight back, becoming good protagonists of a match that was beaten only during the opening set. Itas Trentino closes the first set with 25-21 thanks to Vettori in the net area, the match becomes easier for our team, who lined up Van Garderen (9 points with 69%) and Russell (13 with 69% and two blocks).
Moment of glory also for baby Michieletto and Pizzini, two players who joined the first team for this occasion; Alessandro was able to close the scrimmage with a great smash.

Below the scoreboard of the return match of 4th finals of 2019 CEV Cup, played tonight at BLM Group Arena of Trento.
