Itas Trentino wins in Busto Arsizio and holds the second place in SuperLega

Itas Trentino continues to win in second leg of the 2018/2019 regular season; last night the World Champions won in PalaYamamy in Busto Arsizio and stopped for the first time in the second part of the season Revivre Axopower Milano, the most performing team of SuperLega Credem Banca.
Confirming the favourable tradition against the team from Milano (never defeated Trento at home), the 3-1 victory in Lombardia allows the team coached by Lorenzetti to hold onto the second place; three match days until the end of the regular season, Itas Trentino is trying to resist to the assault of Cucine Lube for the second place, but the team that played tonight surely fears no opponent.
The optimism of the great performance comes from a constant improvement after having lost the first set; from half of the second set the team dominated on court and on the score. A gradually more efficient block fundamental (9 winning blocks) and destabilizing serve helped building important gaps that were later wisely preserved thanks to the continuity in attacks by Russell (19 points), Vettori (15 points, 56%) and Kovacevic (MVP, 15 points, three blocks and four aces). With such a performance the choice of leaving Lisinac on the bench went almost unnoticed, because Codarin and Candellaro as middle-blockers worked hard.
