Lorenzetti in the press conference: “The team is ready for the 2019 CEV Cup Final"

This morning the coach of Trentino Volley Angelo Lorenzetti met the local media in the screening room “Villotti Group” at the BLM Group Arena in order to introduce the next important events for the team (including SuperLega and 2019 CEV Cup).
“Improving and learning something new in every match is our priority, but it is clear that during this period there will be matches which will determine much - for example the one against Galatasaray - and others that won’t change things. The preparation for the two matches is very similar but the going match against Galatasaray will be played only two days after the one against Modena. We know that we have to be prepared to do our best, even though we know this is just the first part of the Final. The players have been training all the season in order to get ready for this event; there is the risk of not having the right energy, because so far it has already been a long journey and not always easy or funny. Physical condition needs greater attention but in my opinion the team is getting better and better. Lisinac? Everything is going according to schedule, he is recovering but we don’t want to risk anymore. He will get back in the game as soon as he is ok”.
“Obviously we have already begun investigating our opponents; undoubtely Galatasaray has its asset in the opposite Venno from Esthonia – continues Lorenzetti - . I do not know him so much, but he is very talented and, although he never achieved very high levels he has repeatedly showed great power and qualities, especially in the double match of semifinal vs Kemerovo. More in generally, the Turkish team is a very complete one, where many roles can be easily switched, so that they will be very prepared for both matches. In order to win 2019 CEV Cup we just have to success in both matches, learning from the negative experience of two years ago vs Tours, where probably we used the wrong tactic vs France. Although winning only the going match can not give any certainties, the fact of achieving a good result could be helpful for the next appointment. But before that match we will have to face Modena, a team which is similar to ours, also according to the evaluation’s indicators on quality game. With the comeback of Christenson the players from Emilia will be even more competitive. From what we have seen in the two matches we have played against them during this season the team coached by Velasco is very aggressive, able to lead the game and that has considerely improved in the attack. Competing at PalaPanini will be an important test bench for us, also in view of the future matches of the Play Off Scudetto”.
