SuperLega, 72nd A22 Derby on Sunday in Modena: the guide to Azimut Leo Shoes–Itas Trentino

The 25th turn of regular season of SuperLega Credem Banca 2018/19, the twelfth of the return round, will be played between today and Sunday. Itas Trentino will be busy with its last away match of its championship facing Azimut Leo Shoes Modena at PalaPanini in the traditional 72nd A22 derby. The start of the match is scheduled for 7 p.m.: live broadcast on RAI Sport + and Radio Dolomiti.
HERE ITAS TRENTINO The World Champions will go in Emilia with the need of obtaining a three-points victory to protect again their second place in ranking from Civitanova’s assaults (which will play on the same day in Bari) but also with the will to further show their constantly growing physical and technical shape just two days before the going Final match of 2019 CEV Cup.
“Our attitude towards a match doesn’t change, they’re all important even if the home one of Tuesday versus Galatasaray could surely be decisive – explained coach Angelo Lorenzetti presenting the game - . Anyway, the match of Sunday is one of those that really gives many indications towards the incoming Play Off Scudetto. Despite being behind us in raking I think Modena is really similar to Trento from a quality point of view. They had to do without Christenson, who is injured, but still were very good to manage this hard moment. We will play versus a team that relies in its aggressivity and its quality in managing the attack fundamental.”
Itas Trentino will complete its preparation between today’s afternoon and tomorrow morning at PalaPanini. These will be useful occasions to evaluate Lisinac’s physical conditions, the Polish middle-blocker won’t still be available and will be replaced by Lorenzo Codarin again. Trentino Volley will play the 805th official match of its history aiming for the 562nd overall victory, the 243rd away from home.
TWELVE FORMERS PLAYERS The high number of former players will offer further to next match: they’ll be twelve among players, coaches and members of technical and managerial staff. On Modena side they’ll be Tine Urnaut, Daniele Mazzone and the scout Roberto Ciamarra; on the other side they’ll be coach Angelo Lorenzetti, the assistants Francesco Petrella and Dante Boninfante and the athletic director Alessandro Guazzaloca. Talking about corporate structures Bruno Da Re and Andrea Sartoretti are former managers.
OPPONENTS Azimut Leo Shoes will face Itas Trentino in front a sold-out PalaPanini, which will therefore try to boast its team towards its first seasonal victory versus a team which is ahead in ranking. Three points would count a lot of Julio Velasco’s team, which will have to defend itself from the overtaking attempts of Revivre Milano in the last two days of SuperLega.
Modena bought the French spiker Tillie (who’s coming from a working experience in China) and are trying to make their setter Christenson as soon as possible to try to get in the best way possible to the Play Offs. The Dutch setter Keemink replaced Christenson in the last months and he’s one of the many players used in the last time and coming from the bench.
