Nelli at “Oltre la rete” on RAI Sport: “I’m very proud of the victory of the 2019 CEV Cup"

On Tuesday evening Gabriele Nelli was one of the main protagonists of the weekly episode of “Oltre la rete”, the magazine that RAI Sport dedicates and broadcasts on the digital terrestrial channels 57 and 58 around 11.00 p.m. The opposite spiker from Tuscany, together with the hosts Maurizio Colantoni and Andrea Lucchetta, told everything about himself starting exactly from the most recent matches played with Itas Trentino.
“In Padua I lived a season, last season, that was very useful for my growth – explained the spiker who grew up in the youth team of Trentino Volley - . I’m happy to go back and play on Sunday for match 2 because I will have the opportunity to embrace again a place that gave me a lot and that will give me even more strength. I hope to play on court but in such a competitive team like Trentino Volley, being able to play in the main team isn’t always easy. Vettori is playing a great season, I’m happy for him, but whenever it’s needed I try to be ready and I do it for the team more than I do it for myself. Playing the match in Istanbul valid for the 2019 CEV Cup has been a great fulfillment; giving the best in such a difficult situation wasn’t easy but I did it and I’m happy, especially for the Association, that has been chasing this victory for years. Win something in the team that raised you is fantastic and very gratifying; I’m proud of that. We started the beginning of the year with a new project, with a brand new roster that immediately found the right chemistry to obtain two big achievements, also keeping in mind the World Club Cup won in Poland. We work well every day in the gym because we are very close: it’s our strength. With Lorenzetti we dedicate a lot of time not only to the strategy but also to the individual technique; my favorite fundamental? The serving”.
