Trentino Volley taking field again for the 2019/20 season with CEV Champions League

With the 2018/19 season Trentino Volley has achieved another important goal. The qualification for the Play Off Final that Sir Safety Conad Perugia has obtained tonight after the match against Modena, allowed Itas Trentino to get a ticket for 2020 Champions League.
The certainty of taking part in the most important European club Championship after just one year of absence arrived making the most out of the second place reached at the end of the 2018/19 regular season. Three passes are guaranteed to the Italian teams for the competition: two to the finalists of Play Off (Perugia and Civitanova) and one to the best ranked in regular season that has not reached the finals of the Italian championship (Trento).
The one that will start in October will be the ninth participation in the most prestigious European tournament; our team has won three times (2009, 2010, 2011), on other occasion they still managed to finish on the podium (third place in 2012, second in 2016). Thanks to Italy’s excellent ranking and also to the recent victory of CEV Cup, Trentino Volley should be considered as top-tier team and therefore have access to the round phase, like it has already happened in the past edition to the three Italian teams. An effective certainty will rise only after CEV have confirmed the format for the upcoming season.
