SuperLega, on Wednesday away match in Latium for the ninth round of regular season

2019/20 SuperLega Credem Banca immediately back on the court for the ninth round of the regular season, which will be played entirely in midweek. Itas Trentino will be the guest of Top Volley Latina, which plays its home matches at the Palasport of Cisterna di Latina. The kick-off is scheduled for 8:30 pm, live coverage on Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on Lega Volley Channel at www.elevensports.it.
ITAS TRENTINO After two consecutive defeats, the team have the strict need to be successful again to protect its good position in the standings (fourth place with a point of difference from Perugia, which, however, played an extra game) and turn the page quickly.
"We want to move forward our league standings but we know that the same desire will certainly have Latina who is back, like us, from a 1-3 away loss - warns Trento coach Angelo Lorenzetti - . So another battle awaits us, both because Latina is a formation further improved compared to the previous season, boasting greater agonistic and technical consistency at his disposal, and because playing against a setter as skilled as Sottile is always difficult, even when it comes to prepare a precise tactic of play, as he is very good at changing his playstyle during the match. We must therefore be dynamic, concentrated and aggressive".
Itas Trentino will play this match, the eighth official one of November, with the whole players at its disposal; the team will arrive in Latium this evening by train.
On this occasion, Trentino Volley will come onto the court for its 825th official match of its history and will hunt for its 576th overall victory: currently it has 301 home wins and 274 away wins.
THE OPPONENTS The start of the regular season has given Top Volley Latina two wins in seven games and six points for its standings, enabling it to reach the tenth position. Deeply renewed compared to the recent past, the team coached by Lorenzo Tubertini (for years assistant coach of Lorenzetti in Modena) has already collected some prestigious results, confirming the potential of a roster full of talent. In particular, in two of the three home matches, they have collected points even with highly rated teams such as Perugia (defeat only at the tie break) and Monza (victory always in the fifth set), then getting the full success in the away match versus Soma. One of the main protagonists of the beginning of the regular season of Latina is Patry, the new French opposite spiker, who has already found an excellent chemistry with setter Sottile, as evidenced by the 121 points scored in seven games. Marteen Van Garderen (who scored last year in Trento 145 points in 43 matches) showed that he can be a good player also with high fly balls, although during these last weeks he played less, making room to the German Karlitzek. In position number 4 there’s the Argentinian Palacios, who is playing a great season: he is actually doing good percentages for net. The new Canadian central hitter Szwarc is in the seventh position for block.
THE PREVIOUS ONES Latina is the fifth Company faced by Trentino Volley in 38 official matches; Only Modena (73), Civitanova (68) Piacenza (55) and Cuneo (47) have played more. Via Trener Club report is positive (30-8), with a streak of consecutive victories still in favour of Trento. 
If we want to remember Lazio victories, we must go back to 13th April 2014 (1-3 Trento) in a match played for the fifth position of playoff. At home, Latina had more success: five victories out of 19. Among the fourteen wins obtained by Trentino Volley in Lazio, there are also the five most recent ones. The last one has been played on January 27 for 3-0, with partials of 25-18, 25-15 and 25-19 and Russell mvp (19 points and 75%, in addition to three ace and a block).
REFEREES The match will be coordinated by Massimiliano Giardini (first referee in Verona, A-list since 2014) and Massimo Florian (second one in Treviso, since 2007). The last match with Trentino Volley for Giardini dates back to last month (27th October, Trento Monza 3-0) whereas for Florian to last October, the one in Ravenna. 
RADIO, INTERNET AND TV The match will be broadcasted through live coverage from radio Dolomiti, the Trentino Volley media partner. Connections with Lazio will be available in “Dolomiti Sport Show”.
