Trentino Itas is going to return to Istanbul on Tuesday, 308 days after winning CEV Cup

One away match after the other for Trentino Itas. The match in Marche Region against Cucine Lube is already behind them and the team is now ready to leave for another away match on Tuesday, 28th January in the morning. This time Giannelli and his teammates will fly over the national borders to land in Istanbul (Turkey), where the first match of the returning round will be played on Fenerbahce HDI Sigorta’s court at 16.00. 308 days after having achieved 2019 CEV Cup, by winning 3-2 the final of the returning round against Galatasaray on 26th March 2019, Trentino Volley will now return to the populous city of Istanbul, the bridge between Asia and Europe. The team will be host of the same facility used in the past, the Burhan Felek Voleybol Salonu from Wednesday (training in the evening) until Thursday (training in the morning and match). The facility is property of the National Federation and it will host the match at 16.00, live broadcasted on Radio Dolomiti and DAZN.
On this occasion, the Club will stop in Turkey for the sixth time in its history, it will be its third time in Istanbul, where Trentino Volley has played also on 1st March 2017 (2-3 loss against Fenerbahce in the returning match of 2017 CEV Cup semifinals). The debut has been on 15th December 2004, when Itas Diatec Trentino played the returning match of the round of sixteen of CEV Cup in Ankara, lost it 1-3 and was eliminated from the competition. Trentino Volley will take fourteen players to Turkey, also the new spiker Alessandro Michieletto, a precious help in this time when many high-balls players are not in perfect physical conditions.
