First deal of Trentino Volley market: here is the middle blocker Lorenzo Cortesia

The Trentino Volleyball summer market opens with Lorenzo Cortesia: in the team Itas Trentino 2020/21 there will also be space for the young Veneto (player 3), just back from two seasons spent on loan in SuperLega in Siena and Ravenna. Thanks to the collaboration agreement established some time ago with the Volley Treviso, the club in Via Trener had already got the title, allowing him to gain valuable experience in Tuscany and Romagna.
Courtesy, twenty-one years old at the end of July, had started his career with the orogranate Club, showing great potential, so much so that he was elected best Italian Under 19 in his role already in 2016, the year in which he won the Junior League with the Marca team. In the following years he  became Vice Champion of Europe Under 19 and Vice World Champion Under 21 with the jersey of the National Youth Nationals.
In his previous performances in SuperLega he has already shown remarkable qualities on the block (42 of those achieved in 21 games played with the Consar jersey in the last season - fourth blocker of the championship together with Solé), supported by important physical skills that make him one of the most interesting Italian prospects in his role. After having already worn the gialloblù jersey during the Final Eight of the Junior League 2019, in which he contributed decisively to the second place final of the Itas Trentino Under 19, Cortesia is therefore preparing to live his first year under the orders of Angelo Lorenzetti who strongly wanted him in the new roster.
"We are happy to inaugurate the summer campaign by making official a young man with good prospects like Cortesia - explained the President of Trentino Volley Diego Mosna - . Lorenzo is the most important achievement of the collaboration agreement that we have been carrying out for a long time with Volley Treviso and we are pleased that after a couple of seasons spent in other SuperLega realities to make his bones he can finally join our roster. I'm sure he'll be able to carve out his own space because he's certainly not lacking in quality".
"I'm finally wearing the jersey of a club that has made history in Italian volleyball and I'm proud of it - these were Lorenzo Cortesia's first words as a new Trentino Volleyball player - . It's an important starting point for my career, I come to Trento to grow at professional level and to offer my contribution to the group. I've already had the chance to talk to Lorenzetti, a coach whom I hold in high esteem, and our dialogue has further encouraged me. I'll put my heart into this experience to improve my skills, paying particular attention to the block skill".
Lorenzo will wear the number 2 jersey of Trentino Volley, already worn in the past by Rak and Millar and by a then promising youngster like Leonardi.
