An increasingly productive giallo-blù team: with Novi Sad the debut of Acuti and Pol

The 3-0 win on Thursday evening at the BLM Group Arena in Trento against the Serbs of Novi Sad will not be remembered by Trentino Volley only as the result that guaranteed the qualification for the second preliminary phase of 2021 CEV Champions League; to further embellish it there was also the absolute debut of two other players from the Youth Sector: the spiker Alberto Pol and the middle-blocker Alessandro Acuti.
After having carried out the entire pre-season preparation under Lorenzetti's orders, the two athletes (strengths of the UniTrento Volley that will debut in its second consecutive Serie A3 championship on October 17) on this occasion have in fact collected the first presence of their career in varsity, experiencing some significant exchanges of the third set on the field.
Acuti, middle-blocker class 2000, originally from Bolzano and arrived in Trento thanks to the historic collaboration agreement with the Sport Team Sudtirol (a company from the South Tyrolean capital that has been working very well on the territory for years), sealed the evening by also scoring a block point; Pol, Venetian born in 2001 who arrived in Trento thanks to the partnership with Volley Treviso, was instead able to demonstrate the qualities in the second line, receiving with 50% of success. And in the post game for both there was also the ritual of hair cutting, performed with a barber machine by a specialist such as Nimir Abdel-Aziz and filmed on social media by Salvatore Rossini.
Acuti and Pol are just the last, in chronological order, of the many players of the "cantera gialloblù" to complete the course, coming to play in varsity: before them the same thing had happened to Nicola Leonardi, Andrea Segnini, Lorenzo Gallosti , Michele Morelli, Filippo Lanza, Damiano Valsecchi, Michele Fedrizzi, Antonio De Paola, Simone Giannelli, Gabriele Nelli, Sebastiano Thei, Tiziano Mazzone, Carlo De Angelis, Matteo Chiappa, Oreste Cavuto, Alessandro Michieletto, Filippo Pizzini and Francesco Simoni. Since 2007, twenty-one players have been guaranteed to varsity by the Youth Sector, directed by Francesco Conci, confirming itself as a fundamental reservoir also in the Italian field. In fact, five of them wore the Italia Seniores jersey, but the data could be subject to constant updates...
