SuperLega back on field for 21st round of regular season

After the weekend dedicated to Del Monte® Coppa Italia 2021, the team will play another round of SuperLega Credem Banca, number 21st, and it will last 2 days. In this occasion, Itas Trentino will play at Allianz Cloud (once PalaLido) in Milano, on Wednesday 3rd February, against Allianz Powervolley. Starting whistle scheduled for 7.30 pm, live on Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on Lega Volley Channel www.elevensports.it (paying service).
HERE ITAS TRENTINO Exactly a week after the quarter final of Coppa Italia, Itas will play against Milano, without any particular concern about the ranking (Giannelli and his fellow mates are sure to be 3rd on the ranking, they also have two rounds of anticipation), but they surely want to to play, after the ko of last Saturday in Bologna. The aim is to turn the page after 3-0 defeat at Unipol Arena against Perugia- the first after 16 consecutive victories (the 3rd highest number of consecutive victories in 20 years of history of the team).
“We are sad because we haven’t been able to play the Final Four di Coppa Italia according to our abilities and desires, we’re ready for this last week of regular season, we’re determined and our aim is to recharge and prepare well next match of Champions League - explained coach Angelo Lorenzetti while presenting the match - . The opponent team, Milano, is a strong team and it keeps growing up, moreover they want to end well the season; it will be the right occasion to find a good atmosphere and recharge”.
Itas Trentino will arrive in Lombardia right tonight, after the training in the afternoon. Gialloblù staff will have the opportunity to count on all the players of the team; probably the Italian-Dutch hitter spiker will play and it will let the team find the right pace.  In this occasion Itas will play its 877th official match of its story: 613 victories and 263 defeats, number 472 on away field, where got the victory 292 times. In regular season, the team has played 523 matches winning 369 of them.
THE OPPONENTS Allianz Milano is particularly hardened: indeed, the team’s aim is to improve the position on the ranking (now they’re on 8th place) during the last 3 matches it still have to play in regular season. In addition to the match against Trento and the one on Sunday against Piacenza, the team also has to play the recuperation of 5th round in Ravenna, scheduled in 8 days. The opportunity to overcome Modena (this team has only 2 more points in comparison to Milano) can only be realized if the team wins all next matches. Thanks to the recovery of the opposite Patry and the addition of Urnaut to the team, coach Roberto Piazza can now count on many good players such as Ishikawa. During the championship, Milano has already won half of the matches played on its home field (5 out of 10), among the victory good was the one 3-2 against Modena and the one at tie break against Civitanova.  
PREVIOUS MATCHES On Wednesday the 16th official match between Trentino Volley and Powervolley Milano. Up to now, gialloblù won 15 matches, the opponet team only one (the one on 15th Octorber 2017 in Trento, 2-3, Abdel-Aziz mvp with 28 points). The match will be played at PalaLido in Milano for the 3rd time (there, Trento won 3-1 on 17th November 2019 and 3-0 on 23rd January 2020); the other matches have been played at PalaYamamay in Busto Arsizio (3 March 2019, 3-1, 5 February 2017, 3-0 and 30 December 2017, 3-2), at Forum in Assago (8 February 2015, 3-0) and at PalaBorsani in Castellanza (5 December 2015, 3-1). During this season, two matches have already been played, both at the BLM Group Arena and both concluded with 3-0 by Itas: on 6th January (the sets 25-18, 25-17, 25-15 and Kooy mvp) and last week (on 27th January) and the sets 25-22, 25-21, 25-21, Nimir mvp.
REFEREES The match will be directed by Ilaria Vagni (from Perugia, role-referee since 2003 and international since 2014) and Daniele Rapisarda (from Udine, in Serie A since 2002 and international since 2011), for Vagni this will be match number 8, for Sobrero number 9 in SuperLega this season. Last match with Trentino Volley for Vagni  was on 11th October (vicotry in 3 sets in Piacenza) and for Rapisarda was last defeat in Championship, on 25th October at BLM Group Arena against Vibo.
