Lokomotiv Novosibirsk-Trentino Itas 0-3, the match report

Match report. Itas’ coach can count on Podrascanin, reason why coach Angelo Lorenzetti decide to let play Giannelli, Nimir Abdel-Aziz as opposite,  Lucarelli and Kooy at place 4, Lisinac and Podrascanin as middle blockers, Rossini as libero. Lokomotiv Novosibirsk: Abaev at serve, Luburic as opposite, Savin and Ivovic as hitter spikers, Kurkaev and Lyzik as middle blockers, Martynyuk as libero. Since the beginning of the play, giallobù is very determined; after 6-6 Itas recovers thanks to the actions of Lucarelli, Lisinac and Nimir (10-6). Lokomotiv is not united, can’t recover neither with Voropaev and gialloblù keeps scoring, also thanks to many mistakes of the opponent team (14-8). During the second part of the set, the ace by Kooy scores +7 (18-11); Novosirbirsk tries to recover with Kurkaev and Rodichev (just entered as substitute of Savin) and has only 4 points less. Gialloblù notices the danger and re-starts with Nimir (23-19) and Podrascanin (25-19).
The story is the same also during the second set; Itas Trentino leads the play since the beginning thanks to the actions by Lisinac and Nimir, but also thanks to the serves by Lucarelli (6-3). After the time-out called by Kostantinov, the Dutch opposite scores and increases the advantage (9-4); the Russian team tries to recover and Luburic scores 11-9, but then Itas attacks again (15-10), thanks to the block by Kooy. Novosibirsk recovers again, Ivovic (16-15) and Trento fears for a while and shows a perfect action:  Nimir, Lucarelli and Kooy (ace) gets to 20-16 (time out Kostantinov). This time, gialloblù doesn’t leave any place to the opponents and wins 25-20.
Itas keeps scoring also during 3rd set: Nimir starts with an ace (6-3), then Giannelli does a block against Ivovic (8-4). The opponents can’t recover and Itas runs fast to 3-0, thanks to the blocks by Podrascanin(14-9) and the scores of Nimir (17-10). The match end 25-15, thanks to the ace by Cortesia. Great victory and the pass to the quarter finals!
