Berlin Recycling Volleys: identity card of Trentino Itas’s opponent team

Identity card of Trentino Itas’s opponent team

Berlin Recycling Volleys (Germany)
Up to now, the main team of the capital city has lived a period of ups and downs; the qualifications to the quarter finals of Champions League and the victory of its second Supercoppa ever (won in October, defeating 3-0 Frankfurt in final) are good achievement, but it was eliminated at the quarter finals of German Cup (last time the team won it) and 3rd place in Bundesliga with 7 points less than Friedrichshafen.
The German team won 10 times the German title (latest one in 2019), 5 National Cups and one CEV Cup in 2016 when the coach was Roberto Serniotti. On the other hand, in Champions League the best result ever is a 3rd place achieved in 2015, as it had organized the Final Four on home filed.
The team has played 2 times against Trentino Volley, both in 2013: on 24th October 2013 in Trento (3-1 for gialloblù) and 0-3 on 18th December in Germany in 2 matches of the round-phase of CEV Champions League.
The coach is the French Enard and he can count on very good players at international stage: the opposite is the American Patch (once in Vibo), the setters are the Russian Grankin (ex Dinamo Mosca) and the French Pujol (ex Lube and Treviso), the hitter spikers Tuia and Carle (last year in Vibo); and two Brazilian players: Renan Michelucci and Eder Carbonera, player in Itas during season 2017/18 (48 presences, 363 points). And last but not least the hitter spiker Kaliberda, once in Vibo, Macerata, Modena and Perugia.

Possible line-up: Grankin (s)-Patch (o), Carle-Tuia (s), Renan-Eder (c), Kowalski (l).
