Play Off Scudetto 2021, Itas Trentino is already in Semifinal

Fourth seasonal success (out of four matches) against Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza that assures to Itas Trentino the access to the 13th semifinal of Play Off Scudetto (out of 18 matches). Giannelli and his fellow-players defeated 3-1 the opponent team, as it had already done on 11th October, assuring a place at the semifinal; now the team can train for 10 days for the double match against Perugia, Champions League’s semifinal.
The team did its best during the first match of the tournament and concluded the match in a different way in comparison to the one on Wednesday at BLM Group Arena; Lorenzetti’s team managed to win 1st and 3rd set, thanks to an excellent break phase and showed a good confidence also during the second set (lost after having recovered from 4-8 and 19-21) and during last one, during which it recovered excellently: from 13-16 to 25-22. Best players of the match were the opposite Nimir Abdel-Aziz, who scored 28 points with 53%in attack, 2 blocks and 2 aces, the middle blocker Podrascanin (3 points at serve and 4 blocks) and Lisinac (82% during first set)- they all played an important role for the victory, as well as Captain Simone Giannelli, precise and excellent in attack.
Some good advices collected during the match will be very useful for the semifinal on 28th March, between Itas Trentino and the winner between Civitanova and Modena. Depending on the opponent match, Itas will play 2 (against Civitanova) or 3 (against Modena) times on home field.
