BLM Group Arena, gialloblù is training for Champions’ derby against Perugia

This morning gialloblù begun trainig at BLM Group Arena. The team took a Monday off, after the victory in 4 sets in Piacenza, that assured Itas the access to the semifinal Play Off Scudetto. Starting from today, the team is back at the Arena and trains twice (weight training in the morning and technique in the afternoon) in order to get ready for next important match.
On Thursday 18th March, Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia will arrive in Trento to play the first round of the Italian derby for the seminal 2021 CEV Champions League; not having any other match to play, the team can dedicate next 9 days to get ready for the Champions League. Second round match is scheduled for 24th March in Umbria.  Before the match, the team will do another technique training on Wednesday afternoon and a short warm up on Thursday morning.
“We really wanted to gain our pass in just two matches in Piacenza, so that we could dedicate all our time to this double match of Champions against Perugia – explained the fitness coach Lorenzo Barbieri at the weekly episode of “RTTR Volley” - the players are fine, maybe a bit tired but are still very focused on next match. We hope to show that the defeat in Coppa Italia against Perugia is just an old bad memory, now we’ve changed, as we showed in Bologna. It’s very stimulating thinking that in order to gain the pass to the Final we’ll have to defeat a team that has defeated us badly one month and a half ago.  So we believe we’ll manage to win, we’ve learned the lesson and we will have the possibility to play not just one match, but two. Playing second round in Perugia won’t be easy, but no spectators will be allowed at PalaBarton and this surely is an advantage for us".
"Two matches against Piacenza have been very hard, both physically and mentally – he added -our goal during these few days of trining is to regain the energies and imprive the technique, the team is ready”.
