Champions League, it’s again in the final!!!

After Prague, Lodz, Bolzano and Cracow, Trentino Volley's extraordinary continental run in the CEV Champions League will be enriched with another phase to remember, regardless of the result that will arise. It’s the one of Verona, where on Saturday the first of May Trentino Itas plays its fifth final of biggest continental championship ever, facing the Poles of Kedzierzyn-Kozle, who surprisingly eliminated Kazan in the golden set tonight.
Trentino Diatec secured this new appointment this evening, dragging Perugia to the tie break at PalaBarton in the very heated return semi-final. The success by 3-0 obtained six days ago at the BLM Group Arena was fully capitalized, managing well the initial force of the Umbrians (immediately on 2-0) and then overturning the score thanks to the victory in the third set and in the fourth set.
The one that was needed for the qualification; the tie break only served to make the elimination of the guests less bitter, but the celebration was all for the gialloblù team. Nimir (MVP of the match with 17 points), Captain Giannelli, and Lucarelli guided the comeback of their teammates, pointing the way to the most desirable aim of the season.
Here is the match-report of the second round of the semifinal of 2021 CEV Champions League, played this evening at the PalaBarton in Perugia.
