Michieletto to "RTTR Volley": "Final of Champions League, a dream that comes true"

On Monday evening, the spiker of Trentino Itas Alessandro Michieletto was the guest to “RTTR Volley”, the weekly show broadcasted by RTTR – the gialloblù media partner. Here are some of the most interesting points of the interview, which was made by the host Sara Ravanelli.
PREPARATION FOR THE FINAL. “We’ve carried out an intense month of training to be at our best for the Final of 2021 CEV Champions League. We’re trained very well, using the time at our disposal to study from a tactical point of view the players of Kedzierzyn-Kozle, as to be prepared for the match. We are going to play this match with the variable tied to the absence of official matches in the previous weeks. It’s our only final of the season and we want to give our best. We did the most compact part of our preparation in the previous weeks, the one started today is the more dedicated to the finishing touches, without too hard workloads because now the goal is to become perfect also from the physical point of view”.
KEDZIERZYN-KOZLE. “Zaksa is a team that has a great breakpoint phase thanks to an efficient service and a very intense defensive phase. We must have great patience, because it is stronger than us at blocking and so, I imagine that there can be long actions in the Final, in which it needs to replay more times the ball in attack. Therefore, we need to have attitude but also aggression; in contrast to what has happened lately, our start has to be immediately very determined. Maybe Kedzierzyn-Kozle doesn’t have the importance of names like Civitanova and Kazan, but you don’t arrive in the final by chance”.
VERONA. “We will play a few kilometres from home and this will be a small advantage, at least from the point of view of travel, but we can’t have the support of the fans and so, we have to make it only with our strength. I think that it will be a match on equal terms for this reason as well, where only the strongest team will win, without any external conditionings”.
MY FIRST FINAL. “This will be my first Final with the jersey of Trentino Volley. I almost saw all the previous ones from the sidelines or on television, but I have always been a big fan. These are new sensations for me and I’m happy to feel them; up to a few years, I could only dream about them. I can’t wait to be on the field; the match remains important even without fans”.
PLAY OFF SCUDETTO. “Civitanova, the strongest team, won, confirming its supremacy of the latest years. Our regret lies in not being able to make it to Match 5 of the semifinal, where maybe we would have felt less pressure from Cucine Lube and could have played with fewer worries. We weren't able to do it because we didn't play as we wanted or as it happened, for example, in the Champions League semi-final against Perugia”.
MY SEASON. “Beyond the final result that will emerge in Verona, this season has been very important for me, where I could really understand what it means to play in the first team. I worked hard and I feel to have improved in all fundamentals, but I especially grow up mentally. My teammates offered me many pieces of advice, realising how useful they could be to make me improve”.
