Michieletto, Lavia, and Sbertoli between the twelve Italians called for the Tokyo Olympics

Alessandro Michieletto, Daniele Lavia, and Riccardo Sbertoli will represent Trentino Volley at the 32^ edition of the Olympics, which takes place between 23 July and 8 August 2021 in Tokyo, Japan.
This morning, the coach of the Italian national team Gianlorenzo Blengini has officialised the list of the twelve Italian players who will participate in the men’s volleyball tournament at the Olympics. Between them, there are also the names of three players of the future yellow-blue team and other two who grew in the youth sector of Trentino like Simone Giannelli and Gianluca Galassi. For Michieletto, Lavia, and Sbertoli, their first-ever Olympics of their career will start with the match against Canada on 24 July.

Setters: Simone Giannelli (Perugia), Riccardo Sbertoli (Trento)
Opposite spikers: Luca Vettori (Modena), Ivan Zaytsev (Civitanova)
Spikers: Osmany Juantorena (Civitanova), Jiri Kovar (Civitanova), Daniele Lavia (Trento), Alessandro Michieletto (Trento)
Middle blockers: Simone Anzani (Civitanova), Gianluca Galassi (Monza), Matteo Piano (Milano)
Libero: Massimo Colaci (Perugia).
Before arriving in Japan, the Italian national team continues its preparation in Rome, undergoing a couple of test matches against Argentina in Cisterna di Latina: Saturday 10 at 20.30 and Sunday 11 July at 18.
