SuperLega, Itas Trentino achieves its seventh consecutive victory in Monza

Itas Trentino ends January with another important victory - the seventh in a row and the sixth of the first month of 2022. This evening the team won 3-1 at the Arena of Monza in the evening postponement of the nineteenth round of the SuperLega Credem Banca regular season against the hosts Vero Volley.
The three points gained strengthen the third position in the ranking of Lorenzetti's team, which was able to continue its run by showing off another great performance. After a particularly hard-fought first set, won at the sprint by the locals, Sbertoli and his teammates did not lose heart and from the second set they started to play a different game, made of great efficiency in attack (56% of the final team score), but also of attention at the block and in the second line; this made Monza completely lose focus in the second set and in the following periods, decidedly more hard-fought. Kaziyski's 17 points (mvp with 59%), but also the extraordinary continuity of Michieletto (18 with 67% and two aces, one of which closed the match) and Lavia (best scorer with 20) and the presence at the net of Podrascanin and Lisinac (the latter returned in record time after Covid and immediately thrown into the fray) were decisive in obtaining the entire stake. The 7 points with 60% in the first half and 4 winning blocks showed how the Serbian player has not lost his strength in a week of quarantine.
