SuperLega, on Sunday at BLM Group Arena the 78th derby of A22

SuperLega Credem Banca on the court for the 20th turn of regular season at the weekend. Itas Trentino will be the main character of the big match of the day, hosting Leo Shoes PerkinElmer Modena in the traditional derby of A22 on Sunday 6th. The kick-off is at 6 p.m. The match will be live on Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on the platform OTT Volleyball World Tv.
HERE ITAS TRENTINO. Once stopped the list of seven consecutive victories and once known the first defeat in Civitanova on Wednesday evening 2022, the yellow-blue formation quickly wants to go back to success to keep running in the Championship and to preserve its excellent position in the ranking (third place, a point behind Civitanova and five points of advantage above Modena, which has still two matches to play).
“It is an important event to test once again our ability to play at a high level and to do it in a particularly intense and demanding moment,” declared the trainer Angelo Lorenzetti while describing the event. “We will play a home game against one of the most equipped formation of the whole Championship and to achieve the goal we want, we will have to show we have grown compared to the game of the first round, but also compared to the match played in Civitanova Marche on Wednesday evening. Being able to have good continuity in the phase of side out could be one key point of the match, considering how much Modena can be dangerous while serving.”
The trainer of Trentino, in his 261st match on the bench of Trentino Itas, will test the condition of his team between this afternoon’s training and the one of Sunday morning. For the Club of Trener street, everything is about the 920th official match of its history, the 423rd in its own facility, in which the team will be go after the 643rd victory (number 336 at BLM Group Arena, where the team won the last seven matches and hasn’t lost since November 3rd 2021.
THE OPPONENTS. After eighteen days of waiting, because of some positive people in the team after being back from the last sixteen games of CEV Cup played against Tours, Leo Shoes PerkinElmer Modena is ready to be back on the court for an official match that can inaugurate its final sprint in the Championship.
The team trained by Andrea Giani will arrive in Trento as forth team in the ranking and with almost a perfect score in the second round, where it achieved eight out of the nine available points during the three matches played to date. Among the best players before the break there were the opposite spiker Nimir (forth bomber of the tournament with 269 points despite playing only 15 matches), who alongside the libero Rossini will play the first match as ex-player of the turn at BLM Group Arena on Sunday and will be  awarded before the kick-off.
Moreover, the number tell how, with high ball, the team can count on the big quality of the couple composed of Leal (seventh attacker of SuperLega for weighted average) and Ngapeth (third wing spiker of the Championship in the ranking, who takes into account all the fundamentals) and how in the centre the other ex-player, Daniele Mazzone, is standing out not only for the attack but also for the blocks he made  (37, seventh place only five points below the first one, Podrascanin). Out of eight away games of regular season, already played, the Emilian team lost only twice (in Monza and Civitanova), winning on the court of Perugia and Piacenza.
THE PREVIOUS MATCHES. Modena is the second opponent that Trentino Volley challenged the most in twenty-one years of history (the first one is Lube). On Sunday, the 78th official match will be played: the total evaluation smiles at the Society of Trener street for 44-33. During the last eight years, the challenge gave enormous balance and lots of opportunities for comparison. From December 21st 2014 to today, the two formations played against one another twenty-nine times, with sixteen successes for Trento.
The most recent match was played in Modena during the first round: 3-0 for the Emilian team (28-26, 25-15, 25-22) on November 21st 2021, while the last match played in Trento was on December 9th 2020, victory for 3-0 for the host team. The facility in Fersina street was conquered by Modena nine times in thirty-tree matches, last time on February 15th 2020 for 1-3.
THE REFEREES. The match will be supervised by Marco Zavater (from Rome, in Seria A since 2008) and Umberto Zanussi (from Treviso, in Seria A since 2006). They will supervised respectively the tenth and the eleventh match of the season. For Zavater, the last match with the yellow-blue team was the success of 3-0 against Perugia in Civitanova Marche October 23rd 2021 in the semifinal of Supercoppa, while for Zanussi was the home victory once again in three sets against Cisterna December 19th 2021.
RADIO, THE INTERNET AND TV. The match will be narrated live by Radio Dolomiti, media partner of Trentino Volley. The frequencies to listen to the regional network are available on the website  www.radiodolomiti.com, where it will also be possible to follow the live radio updates in steaming too.

SOLD OUT TICKETS AT BLM GROUP ARENA. For this event, Trentino Volley can let a limited numbers of viewer in the gallery of the facility in via Fersina. The tickets pre-sale has been closed since Friday, as 35% of the capacity of the facility was reached (maximum possible capacity, as required by the decree of the Council of Ministers).
Al those who have a title to enter the BLM Group Arena must have the SUPER GREEN CERTIFICATION (green certification for Covid-19 obtain through vaccination or recovery) and a ffp2 mask that must be worn at all time in the facility. The match is the fifth in the subscription card for the second round. The card indicates the door that must be used to enter the facility.
