Ljubljana, Lorenzetti: "We knew that to win this match we had to be close to perfect"

"We knew that to win this match we had to be close to perfect; we didn't succeed, but I have nothing to blame the team for, which did its best again tonight," Trentino Itas coach Angelo Lorenzetti said at the end of the Final. "Getting our opponents in trouble at the line was difficult and, at the same time, we had to be good at taking advantage of the few break point opportunities we were given. We did not succeed in the first set, where we also struggled in the ball change, and in the second where we could have stretched. We are sorry, but Kedzierzyn-Kozle attacked really well."
Trentino Itas will return to Trento around lunchtime on Monday, ending precisely with this appointment the 2021/22 season lived always at the highest level as evidenced by the victory of the Italian Super Cup, the second place in the Italian Cup, the third in the World Club Championship and in the SuperLega regular season, a result that will allow participation in the 2022 CEV Champions League.
