Club World Championship, Trentino Volley is Among The Competitors Of 2022 Edition!

The 2022/23 seasonal schedule increase with another prestigious international appointment for Trentino Volley. The Trener Street society will be at the start of the World Championship for the 2022 Club, which is once again scheduled in Brazil, in Betim (city that already hosted 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2019 and 2021 editions), between December 7th and 11th, thanks to the second place conquered during the last CEV Champions League.
Today’s morning, it was Fivb itself, who officialised dates, location and teams entitled to compete, confirming Trentino Volley’s presence among the teams that will compete for the annual golden title. For the tenth time in its history, Trener Street Club will be competing in the World Championship for the Club, and it is a sporting event who won more than everyone else: five overall; four in a row between 2009 and 2012 and then in 2018.
Its presence in Brazil will allow the yellow-blue team to fight for the sixth golden title, by trying to best represent the Italian Superlega and, at the same time, taking back Trentino’s name in the whole world. The list of the six teams who are entitled to compete includes: Brazilian line-ups of Sada Cruziero, Itambé Minas and Vôlei Renata (first three top ranked of the South-American tournament 2022), the Iranians of Paykan Teheran (Champions of Asia in charge) and Sir Safety Susa Perugia, who took the place of Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle polish team (Champions League winners who refused to participate).
The event’s organisation will not be different from the Trentino previously played matches: the teams will be undergoing a first phase, which is split in two days; the first two top ranked of each pool (that will be played using the Round Robin formula between December 7th and 9th) will access to the semifinals and finals, scheduled for December 10th and 11th. Pool’s organisations and matches‘ schedule will be released in the next days.
During this period in which Trentino Volley will be staying in Brazil, it should have competed in another official regular season match for Superlega Credem Banca 2022/23: on December 11th against Modena, but the match will be brought forward on October 26th.
