SuperLega, Itas Trentino gets back on track

Three days after the good performance against Civitanova, Itas Trentino confirms its high level of play but also gained that victory that had been missing in the SuperLega Credem Banca for three weeks. Tonight, at the BLM Group Arena, the yellow-blue team slowed down the race of the leading team Top Volley Cisterna, that came to Trento still with a full score in the ranking, imposing its first stop of the season, thanks to a 3-2 win at the end of an intense and pleasant match, with uncertain results until the last minute. Sbertoli is back on the court after a ten-day stop due to an abdominal injury; the great trial offered by all the attacking players (54% of team); the support of the home crowd; and the essential presence of the substitute players (the entries of Džavoronok and Cavuto were crucial) helped Lorenzetti’s lineup to regain confidence with the success and with the top leaderboard teams.
The 52 points realized by the duo Kaziyski-Lavia did the rest (30  for Matey with 58%, 22 for Daniele with 51%), whose actions were essential in the decisive moments of the match, like in the third set (where the yellow-blue players were the protagonists of an incredible upswing, from 18-21 to 35-33) and after the fourth partial, in which Cisterna came to light again and deal with the difficulties until the final 15-13 of the tie break. The two gained points lift Itas Trentino to fourth place with seven points, at the same position as Milano and Piacenza.

Below there is the scoreboard of the fourth day’s regular season match of Superlega Credem Banca 2022/23 played tonight at the BLM Group Arena.
