SuperLega, on Sunday the regular season will come to an end: three possible placings

In the upcoming weekend, the 2022/23 SuperLega Credem Banca regular season will face its last match, defining the rankings that will set the combinations for the Play Off Scudetto quarterfinals. Starting from 6 p.m. of Sunday March 12th at the BLM Group Arena, Itas Trentino will end its journey of the first phase of the championship, competing against Valsa Group in a real tie-break for the second position in the rankings, taking into account that the two teams are only one point apart (Trento 41, Modena 40) and slightly ahead of Civitanova (38), who will play at the same time in Perugia.
Depending on the results that will occur on the two courts, Trentino Volley could end the regular season in three different positions in the rankings. Here are the possible alternatives:

- 2nd place: in order to obtain this position, right after the top candidate Perugia, Itas Trentino will have to win at least two sets. The certainty to gain this position is given not only by the victory over Modena with every possible score (3-0, 3-1 or 3-2), but also with a defeat at the tie break, because even in case of a tie score with the Emilians at 42 points, Kaziyski and his teammates will stay ahead because of a better set rate (1,51 to 1,35), which is the third discerning after the number of points and victories (thirteen each);

- 3d place: the last place on the podium would only be held by Itas Trentino in the event of a three-point victory for Modena at the BLM Group Arena (0-3 or 1-3) and Civitanova's inability to collect the full score in Perugia (win in the tie break or defeat by any score);

- 4th place: Itas Trentino would slip to the bottom of the podium in the event of a simultaneous three-point win by Modena at the BLM Group Arena and Civitanova at Perugia's PalaBarton (0-3 or 1-3). A tie on 41 points with Lube would allow them to overtake the yellow-blue team for the most victories (14 to 13 for the red-white team).

Depending on the last placing, in the Play Off quarterfinals, Itas Trentino will potentially be facing Verona (already sure of being fifth), Piacenza or Monza (competing for sixth and seventh positions).
