SuperLega, on Sunday in Verona the 1000th match in yellow-blue men's history

The third  round  of  the  regular  season  SuperLega  Credem  Banca  2023/24  is  being  played  this weekend. Back from two tie break victories in as many matches played in the league, on Sunday 5th  November  Itas  Trentino  will  be  called  to  face  the  second  away  match  of  its  tournament, challenging Rana Verona at home for the traditional Adige derby. At the AGSM AIM Forum kick- off scheduled for 7.30 p.m.: live commentary on Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on the OTT Volleyball World Tv platform.
HERE ITAS TRENTINO Archived the Final Four of Del Monte® Supercoppa 2023 mid-week in Biella,  the  Italian  champions  return  to  focus  on  the  championship  with  the  aim  of  confirming their unbeaten streak, picking up their suitcase again, in this case to support a rather short trip.
"It's a very demanding match, both because of the value of the opponent, and because it comes just a few days after the semifinal against Perugia," explained coach Fabio Soli as he presented the match. "We are in the midst of a physical and game-building phase, but I am convinced that we will be able to say ours in any case because the team has demonstrated on the court the ability  to  be  present  in  difficulties,  expending  the  maximum  energy  available.  The  first  three matches of our season have highlighted the need to be able to convince with a physical condition that is still not very bright. Verona is a physical, tactically shrewd team and I am sure that at home  they  will  offer  their  best  version.  The  level  is  rising,  we  have  the  will  to  be  ready  with patience, determination and the awareness of both our talent and our current state of form".
Trentino  Volleyball  will  reach  Verona  in  the  early  evening  today,  after  having  held  their  eve training  session  at  the  ilT  quotidiano  Arena in  the  early  afternoon.  For  the  second  away engagement of the regular season, the coaching staff will have all fourteen players of the new roster available.
1000th MALE OFFICIAL MATCH IN THE YELLOW-BLUE’S HISTORY The appointment will have an evocative statistical significance for Trentino Volleyball, which on this very occasion will cut  the  ribbon  of  the  thousandth  official  match  referred  to  the  men's  team  in  its  more  than twenty-year  history.  The  numbers:  693  victories  in  the  999  matches  already  played,  361  at home, 332 away. The most frequently achieved result was the 3-0 victory, achieved on no fewer than  362  occasions.  The  most  frequent  defeat,  on  the  other  hand,  was  1-3  (118  times);  the least frequent result was defeat in three sets (89). The most frequently present player is Matey Kaziyski (who took the court 43% of the time - 433 out of 999), who also holds the record for the most points scored (6,066) and the most matches with the captain's armband on (306). The coach who has led the team most from the bench is Radostin Stoytchev (389 appearances), who curiously enough will be on the other side of the net on this very occasion.
THE OPPONENTS Always on points in the first two regular season matches, thanks to the 3-1 success  in  Taranto  in  the  opening  round  and  the  home  defeat  only  in  the  tie break  against Modena seven days ago, Rana Verona awaits the Italian champions for the second consecutive engagement  in  front  of  their  own  public.  In  the  summer,  the  group  of  former  players,  led  by Stoytchev  and  Simoni  on  the  bench  but  also  including  centre-backs  Cortesia  and  Zingel,  was further enriched by the addition of Džavoronok. With 24 personal points, Donovan was one of the  protagonists  in  the  start  of  the  championship  for  the  Scaligeri,  who  currently  have  to  do without Keita, Zingel and Sani. The new additions to the starting line-up are the Czech hammer (who  alternates  with  the  French  Truhtchev  on  the  diagonal  with  Mozic),  the  Iranian  opposite number  Amin  (currently  the  SuperLega's  best  scorer  with  44  winning  balls),  whom  Trentino Volley already faced less than a year ago in Brazil during the World Club Championships when he wore the Paykan jersey, and the libero D'Amico.
BACKGROUND Trento and Verona already have forty-four official meetings behind them: six in the Play Off Scudetto (2010 and 2018), thirty-seven in the regular season and one in the 2019 Italian  Cup;  a  number  that  brings  the  Scaligeri  club  to  be  the  seventh  opponent  faced  more times  in  its  history.  The  balance  is  clearly  in  favour  of  Trentino  Volley,  scoring  in  thirty-one cases, but the Scaligeri have won four of the last seven matches played. Verona has also always forced Trento to the tie break in the five most recent home Adige derbies, winning on 17 March 2018 in game 2 of the Play Off quarter-finals, on 18 February 2019, 26 December 2021 and 8October  2022  in  the  regular  season  and  losing  on  5  December  2020.  The  trip  to  Veneto, however, has been good for the Trentino colours in a total of twelve circumstances out of the twenty  matches  played.  The  two  teams  have  also  met  in  the  pre-season;  on  18  October  in Veneto, the match ended 3-1 for Trento (scores: 17-25, 23-25, 25-21, 21-25).
THE REFEREE The match will be directed by the pair made up of Rossella Piana (from Carpi - Modena,  in  the  Serie  A  since  2006  and  international  since  2014)  and  Stefano  Cesare  (from Rome, in the Serie A since 1999 and international since 2010). The last previous meeting with Trentino Volley for Piana dates back to 2 April (3-0 win in Monza in game 4 of the quarter-finals), while for Cesare it corresponds to the four-set defeat in Civitanova on 12 May (game 4 of the Play Off Scudetto Final). RADIO, INTERNET AND TV The match will be reported live by Radio Dolomiti, media partner of  Trentino  Volleyball.  The  frequencies  to  listen  to  the  regional  network  can  be  found  on  the website  www.radiodolomiti.com,  where  it  will  also  be  possible  to  follow  the  live  radio commentary
 in  streaming.
Also confirmed is the live video streaming on the OTT platform "Volleyball Tv"; the service is pay -per-view.  More  information  on  how  to  use  it  can  be  found  at
