A 3-0 win over Verona means access to the Coppa Italia F4 (15th consecutive season!)

Itas Trentino is holding on to its role as the number one seed in the draw, not failing to make the first appointment of 2024. This evening at the ilT Quotidiano Arena the Italian Champion team secured the 46th derby of the Adige with Verona, gaining access to the Final Four of the Del Monte® Coppa Italia for the 15th consecutive season (the 17th overall).
The certainty of the presence on the weekend of January 27th-28th at the UnipolArena in Bologna, where the 46th edition of the highest national trophy will be awarded, arrived thanks to the round 3-0 home win against the Scaligeri in the quarter-final single match; in the semifinals the opponent to face will be Monza, for the fourth confrontation with the Brianzoli in the single competition. The second success in as many matches played this season against Rana came in a similar way to the one achieved last November 5th in Verona: with a very incisive serve, an efficient defence system and a lot of balls kept alive, Itas Trentino literally dominated the first two halves, leaving very little room for their opponents to reply thanks to the superb counterattack of Michieletto, Rychlicki and Lavia. Even in the third set, when Rana was able to put up more resistance thanks to a more incisive serve, Soli's team did not lose heart, and fought blow after blow until 19-19 before finding the right cue and closing in their favour at the sprint. Alessandro's great performance (mvp and best scorer with 16 points with 56% in attack and one block) and the compactness shown in all areas of the game, including the central part of the net (4 blocks by Kozamernik, 71% in the first half by Podrascanin), allowed the locals to close the account in three sets and to inaugurate the new year in the best possible way.
Below is the scoreboard of the Del Monte® Coppa Italia 2024 quarter-final match played this evening at the ilT Quotidiano Arena in Trento.
