Itas Trentino-Valsa Group Modena 3-0, the match #1 report

The match report. For the third match in seven days at the ilT quotidiano Arena, Fabio Soli proposed his Itas Trentino team, without Sbertoli and with newcomer Garcia on the bench, with Acquarone at the direction and Rychlicki as opposite, Michieletto and Lavia as outside hitters, Kozamernik and Podrascanin as middle blockers, Laurenzano as libero. Valsa Group Modena responded with Bruno at setter, Davyskiba opposite, Juantorena and Rinaldi as outside hitters, Sanguinetti and Stankovic as middle blockers, Gollini as libero. The hosts got off to an exceptional start; led by an immediately unstoppable Michieletto, the tricolourists flew to 4-0 and then 6-1, a score that forced Giuliani to take refuge in a time out. At the resumption, Trento continued to work well at the changeover, holding on to the sizeable lead until 10-6, then an ace by Rinaldi, following an error at the net by the Trentino number 5, and a counter-attack by Davyskiba brought the teams back in close contact (11-10).
Another dunk out by Alessandro delivered parity at 12, before two break points by the Emilian opposite number sent Valsa Group to +2 (12-14). Trento didn't give up and with Lavia quickly evened the score (16-16), before finding another breakpoint (19-17), this time favoured by Valsa Group's out hits. Modena interrupts the game again, but on the return to the court it's Itas Trentino who make their mark with Rychlicki (22-18 and 24-20). The guests cancelled three set points but bowed out in the fourth (Michieletto's block on Juantorena for 25-23).
Itas Trentino also got off to a flying start in the second set, first with Lavia (3-0) and then with Rychlicki, who was extraordinary not only in attack but also on serve (9-2). Acquarone finds more and more understanding with his hammers and the hosts run even more decisively (13-6). Modena tried to react (15-8) with Davyskiba and the insertion of Boninfante for Bruno, but the tricolours always found good solutions to put the ball on the ground (17-12). In the final Trento expanded with Kozamernik (attack and block for 22-14) and took a 2-0 lead internally as early as 25-18.
In the third set Giuliani left Boninfante on court and put Sapozhkov on the diagonal, moving Davyskiba to set 4; the move had some tangible effects as Modena did not lose contact, indeed with Davyskiba himself (ace) they went ahead (6-7). Itas Trentino stays in the slipstream until 10-10, then with Lavia accelerates again (15-10). Podrascanin walls Davyskiba himself, offering the maximum advantage (19-13), which Michieletto then increases again with his serve (20-13). The 3-0 lead came at 25-18 with a winning attack by Rychlicki.
